Chapter meeting recap!

First and foremost, congratulations to Dr. Hughes on becoming the interim CIS chair for UTRGV and to Andrea Diaz for becoming the Director of Fundraising!

The topic of graduating after Fall 2015 was discussed. If you are graduating by May 2015, your diploma will read UT-Pan American. Those graduating Fall 2015 and on will graduate with a diploma from UTRGV. Anyone using a degree plan after a span of 6 years may need to sign a new degree plan. Those still within the 6 yr degree plan may continue using their current degree plan. Any new degree plans will NOT affect your graduation. If you have any questions and/or concerns regarding your current status, feel free to contact your adviser. You may contact the CIS office @ (956) 665-3353.

CIS advising is open. If you have yet to make an appointment with your adviser, you may call the CIS office using the number above to set up an appointment.

Coba shirts for sale! They will be available for pre-order for $15.00. If you are interested in purchasing a shirt, please let one of the officers know so that you don't miss out!

AITP was asked to be in an alumni funding program. We were given 15 Spirit Banks to fill up. If we get all the banks filled up, we will be recognized at a Bronc basketball game on Friday Nov, 7th.

Dr. Hughes is starting an AITP library. There you will be able to find great supplemental reading for classes and competitions. Currently available are CompTIA's Security and A+ certification Crambooks. Contact an officer for checkout.

Last but not least, another survey will be sent out to our members in regards to another Hangout! Your participation in these surveys is crucial in the decision making process. More details to follow. Keep yourself updated to any updates to our blogspot by joining using the Google+ link on this site.
